Let me preface this review by stating that I know Travis personally. I think this adds to the credibility of this review, rather than detracting. It shows that Travis is dedicated to this community, and to providing his support and expertise wherever needed.

I have been using OLS for my backcountry medical kits for some time now. As President of Colorado 4×4 Rescue and Recovery, I endorse his products fully, and publicly sighing our organization. No other kits are put together with the amount of foresight or customer servce as his. These kits are not made to look “cool” (although they do), these are meant to be your source of medical supplies when nothing else is available. Our teams take them deep into the Colorado backcountry, and rely on them should something happen. There are a few things that stand out to me, which I will highlight below.

Ruggedness. You want a kit that can be thrown through the snow, left out in the rain on a mount, or dropped and tossed around in the bed of a truck. A soft sided kit leaves much to be desired, just ask my old trauma bag which has since been retired. Dust proof, waterproof, crushproof. He’s not lying.

Complete. Everyone’s medical training is different, and everyone has varying levels of confidence. This kit is well designed to cover all of the needs one could have, but also to not intimidate someone who has less experience. Don’t take that as a dig, because this kit is just as capable as others in its class if not more. It has all that’s needed, proven, and useful; none of the fluff and gimmicks that others contain. This becomes a lifesaving tool when coupled with good training.

Mountable. I never knew this was something I needed, however since mounting a OLS kit on my swing tire carrier I am 100% sold on this as a requirement. My kit is now ALWAYS accessible when seconds count, and never buried below recovery gear.

Local. It’s no secret I love local businesses. That said, I am cautious about supporting local businesses until they have proven themselves. OLS checked this off right away in my experience, and continues to provide our team members the highest caliber customer service out there. Travis works in the emergency medical field, and has brought this knowledge to his company and products.

Thank you Outer Limit Supply, your kit is an invaluable item in my rig, and many of our member’s as well!

It has been said that if you are going to do it, do it right. That is what comes to mind for me every time I Grab my kit and toss it in whatever conveyance. Mine goes between three vehicles and a boat. Top quality with real-world effectiveness. It doesn’t hurt that it looks like it means business either.
